What has happened since boot camp?
Since attending the Women in Construction Leadership Boot Camp, Ashley Valenzuela-Ruesgen has been promoted from Human Resources Manager to Human Resources Director at White Construction Group in Castle Rock, CO. She has been invited to speak at numerous events and recently was interviewed for a cover story with the Denver Business Journal. Valenzuela-Ruesgen has started down the path of accomplishing all of her goals that she identified in her individual development plan.
Mardi Jones and Amanda Faith, both graduates of the Women in Construction Leadership Boot Camp, were invited to become shareholders of MEP Engineering Inc. The privately held firm brought in 5 new Associates, effectively doubling the size of their shareholders. Mardi, Amanda and Senior Mechanical Engineer, Karena Broman-Ballas, are the first (3) women to become Associates at MEP Engineering. Amanda is especially proud to be asked to the table as a non-technical professional in this highly technical field.
Mardi Jones was promoted to the Senior Operations team. As a direct impact of the Women in Construction Leadership Boot Camp, Mardi transformed into an impactful leader within the MEP Engineering Inc. organization. Her focus on mentorship and training since Boot Camp set her up for a promotion into the company’s Senior Operations team. She is the first woman promoted to this important role within the firm.
