Human Resources Manager | White Construction Group | Castle Rock, CO

My greatest takeaway from the Women in Construction Leadership Boot Camp was the concept of learning to make powerful requests and aligning those requests with my purpose. On their face, these two takeaways seem simple, but they are two important tools that have enhanced my leadership arsenal.

Since attending Boot Camp, I have been promoted from Human Resources Manager to Human Resources Director. I have been invited to speak at numerous events and recently was interviewed for a cover story with the Denver Business Journal. I have started down the path of accomplishing all the goals that I identified in my individual development plan. Some of these goals include sitting for my national human resources credential certifying that I am competent in the greater body of human resources knowledge.

I would recommend this Boot Camp to other women because there is real utility and power in defining your purpose and finding your inner strength. Sharing your gifts with the world is a worthy mission and you are doing yourself and others a disservice by not discovering your true self. My advice would be to treat this experience as a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
